This year (2015) brought a new workshop: Cineforum!
We started watching movies together, but not just any movie.
Movies that will open up new worlds for you! No mainstream Hollywood movies running in the cinema, but movies that provide new insight about the world we live in.
Every month we have a different topic.
Here a short collection of some of the watched and discussed movies: 2015_The_Cineforum_Collection
In June we watched:
On the 9th -> ”Duel” directed by Steven Spielberg
On the 23rd -> Badlans directed by Terrence Malick
On the 30th > The Duellists by Ridley Scott
It’s May already! And with a new month a new Cineforum theme. We are deepen in Romania with movies filmed in the country that host us.
We start with “Filantropica“, directed by Nae Caranfil.

April arrived with a new theme: ‘International movies’. We showed some movies from the countries where some volunteers are from.
On the 7th -> “OSS 117 se déchaîne” directed by André Hunebelle (France).
On the 14th -> “Il secondo tragico Fantozzi” directed by Luciano Salce (Italy).
On the 21th -> “Simon” directed by Eddy Terstall (The Netherlands).
On the 28th -> “Soul kitchen” directed by Fatih Akın (Germany).
During the month of March, Cineforum was all about ‘Documentaries’.
For this theme we selected the following movies:
On the 3rd -> “Sicko” directed by Michael Moore.
On the 1oth -> “The Light Bulb Conspiracy” directed by Cosima Dannoritzer.
On the 17th -> “Basic Income” directed by Daniel Hani and Enno Schmidt.
And to top things off for March on the 31st -> “The Shock Doctrine” directed by Naomi Klein.
In the month of February we had the theme ‘Social movies’.
On the 3th -> “It’s a free world” (Ken Loach)
On the 10th -> “Motorcycle diaries” (Walter Salles)
On the 17th -> “Time of the Gypsies” (Emir Kusturica)
On the 24th -> “No one knows about persian cats” (Bahman Ghobadi)
In the month of January we started with the theme ‘Fantasy’.
On the 13th -> “Time bandits” (Terry Gilliam)
On the 20th -> “Dark city” (Alex Proyas)
On the 27th -> “The adventures of the baron Munchausen” (Terry Gilliam)
