The game ”ORANGE” or ”MOV” was developed by TEAM 3 during the international training course „Youth development through playing activities”, Măguri-Răcătău, Cluj County, 29.09.-06.10.13
Activity Name: Orange
Type of game: Communication + Inclusion game
Number of participants: Between 10 and 18
Age of participants: from 6
Needed resources: no materials needed
Objectives: Participants should get to know each other a bit better, and get used to names and voices.
Description: Make two even groups that stay each in a line faced back one line from another. On turns one person from a team is the speaker, and one from the other team the listener. The speaker has to say loud the word ORANGE. And the listener to guess who was the speaker in the other team. If he guesses the speaker must join his team, if not the speaker remains in it’s original team.
After a round roles change and the group that had a speaker will have now a listener, and the other way around.
The game ends when one team is left with only 3 or 5 members, according to the initial number.
Where it could be used: first days of training to help people get to know their names better and also recognize voices.
Other comments: It cannot last long if people knew each other before and easily recognize the voices.
